#QuestionoftheDay

An old woman had the following assets:
(a) Rs. 70 lakh in bank deposits
(b) 1 house worth Rs. 50 lakh
(c) 3 flats, each worth Rs. 30 lakh
(d) Certain number of gold coins, each worth Rs. 1 lakh

She wanted to distribute her assets among her three children; Neeta, Seeta and Geeta. The house, any of the flats or any of the coins were not to be split. That is, the house went entirely to one child; a flat went to one child and similarly, a gold coin went to one child. Among the three, Neeta received the least amount in bank deposits, while Geeta received the highest. The value of the assets was distributed equally among the children, as were the gold coins.

How much did Seeta receive in bank deposits (in lakhs of rupees)?

  1. A 30 26%
  2. B 40 11%
  3. C 20 47%
  4. D 10 16%

here as we know the number of gold coins are distributed uniformly ; so the assets must also be distributed uniformly . so as the total asset will be 210 Laks ; each one will get 70 lakhs . so on a bit more calculation & assumption we get that ->

Neeta got - 10 Lacs in cash , 2 flats worth 60 lakhs

Seeta got -> 20 lakhs in cash , 50 lakhs worth the house

Geeta got -> 40 lakhs cash , a flat worth 30 lakhs ..so we solved the complete set Magnus Prep

Study the following information to answer the given questions: Twelve people are sitting in two parallel rows containing six people each, in such a way that there is an equal distance between adjacent persons. In row - 1 A, B, C, D, E and F are seated and all of them are facing south. In row - 2 P, Q, R, S, T and V are seeded and all of them are facing north. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each member seated in a row faces another member of the other row. V sits third to right of S. S faces F and F does not sit at any of the extreme ends of the line. D sits third to right of C. R faces C. The one facing E sits third to right of P. B and P do not sit at the extreme ends of the line. T is not an immediate neighbor of V and A is not an immediate neighbor of C. 1. Who amongst the following faces D? (a) T (b) P (c) Q (d) R (e) None of these 2. Who amongst the following represent the people sitting at extreme ends of the rows? (a) R, F (b) T, A (c) D, R (d) C, Q (e) S, A 3. Four of the following five are alike in a certain way and thus form a group. Which is the one that does not belong to that group? (a) B - T (b) A - Q (c) C - S (d) F - P (e) D - R 4. Four of the following five are alike in a certain way and thus form a group. Which is the one that does not belong to that group? (a) D (b) S (c) V (d) T (e) A 5. How many individuals are seated between R and T? (a) One (b) Two (c) Three (d) Four (e) None 6. Who amongst the following faces Q? (a) D (b) B (c) E (d) A (e) None of these 7. Which of the following is true regarding B? (a) B sits to the immediate left of C (b) B faces Q (c) B sits fourth from the extreme left end of the line (d) D and F are immediate neighbors of B (e) None of the above

Study the following information to answer the given questions: L, M, N, O, P, Q and R are sitting around a circle facing the centre. O is sitting between L and R. Q is second to the right of R and P is second to the right of Q. N is not an immediate neighbor of R. 1. Which of the following is not correct? (a) R is second to the right of L (b) M is second to the left of N (c) L sits exactly between O and P (d) P and N are immediate neighbors (e) P sits to the opposite of N 2. How many persons are seated between L and Q if we count anti-clockwise from L to Q? (a) One (b) Two (c) Three (d) Four (e) More than four 3. Who is to the immediate left of P? (a) L (b) N (c) M (d) O (e) None of these 4. Four of the following five are alike in a certain way based on their seating positions in the above arrangement and so form a group. Which is the one that does not belong to the group? (a) QPN (b) MOR (c) LRO (d) RQM (e) ROL 5. Four of the following five are alike in a certain way based on their seating positions in the above arrangement and so form a group. Which is the one that does not belong to the group? (a) LP (b) RM (c) MQ (d) NP (e) OR
